Antonello Ciervo, representing associations in the lawsuit against Leonardo for arms supplies to Israel

Lawyer Antonello Ciervo, from the law firm D’Angelo Pernazza & Partners, is participating as legal counsel in the initiatives promoted by numerous civil society associations in the legal action brought before the Civil Court of Rome against Leonardo S.p.A. The associations – including AssoPacePalestina, A Buon Diritto, ATTAC Italia, ARCI, ACLI, Pax Christi and Un Ponte Per – together with a Palestinian citizen, Hala Abulebdehuna, have filed an appeal seeking to have the arms supply contracts entered into by Leonardo and its subsidiaries with Israel declared null and void. The initiative, part of the campaign “In nome della legge! – Giù le armi, Leonardo” (In the name of the law! – Down with weapons, Leonardo), draws attention to compliance with Article 11 of the Italian Constitution and the legislation governing the export of arms. According to the promoters, the case raises issues of constitutional importance and the protection of human rights, raising the issue of public and private responsibility in military supplies to countries involved in serious humanitarian crises. Mr Ciervo is contributing to the legal defence of the associations, working alongside other professionals involved in the proceedings. D’Angelo Pernazza & Partners will closely follow developments in the case and provide updates as the Court proceeds with its assessment of the claims submitted.
