Pernazza in the conference ‘Energy, Investment and Climate Change – Advancing Sustainable

Development through International and EU Law’, held on 16 October 2025 at Universitas

Mercatorum in Rome. The meeting was an important opportunity for international and

European law experts, academics and professionals, including Zachary Douglas, Ilaria Espa,

Kaisa Huhta and Ludovica Chiussi Curzi, to discuss the role of legal regulations in managing the

energy transition and combating climate change. During his closing speech, Prof. Pernazza

emphasised the importance of law as a tool for reconciling economic development,

environmental sustainability and energy security. The firm would like to thank the scientific and
